The TELUS Ride For Dad has teamed up with the Winchester District Memorial Hospital in Winchester, Ontario, this year to offer men a free Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test.
Roll up your sleeves and get tested on Saturday August 6 between 8 am – 10 am at the hospital, located at 566 Louise Street in Winchester. Don't forget to bring your health card! Free parking is available.
After your blood test, stay around and join the volunteer firefighters for a pancake breakfast.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer found in men. Statistics show that 65 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer everyday and 11 will die from it, according to the TELUS Ride for Dad website.
With early detection, 90 per cent of cases can be successfully treated.
